Ok. Round 2 of our 15-round title match with the elected officials will begin in a couple weeks. Time to start planning!
The 8% tax increase meeting is scheduled for September 26th at 6pm at the Cheyenne County Commissioners meeting room, Court House, 1000 10th Avenue. Mark your calendars!
We would like to have a meeting of concerned citizens 1 week prior to the meeting so we can make sure all our concerns are addressed. This will be the week of the 19th, in the evening, around 6pm. Please let us know which days you can come and we will find the most convenient time for everyone.
Friends, we need change and more ideas. Some ideas now in the works are amazing, but our county needs more. We want to hear from everyone. The state of Nebraska is trying to change the old ways of taxing and spending, giving us new tools to help in the fight with our local tax districts. We plan on using those tools.
After speaking with several residents and business owners here we have a good plan to make some changes. Please help us by being a part and supporting it. Come to a citizen’s meeting and get involved. We can make changes.
