Truth in Taxes….
Hi Everyone, Some of you are sending your pink notices about the tax increase and they are really saying different things. We thought we would post ours so you can see what is REALLY in store for everyone in this county because the bottom line is they want more taxes.
They are showing only part of the increase in your taxes with this mailing if they increased your property values. Now, they may not YET show the value increase, but the Commissioners did approve an additional 4% in value increase.. Some of us think this done to make some people think “no big deal” and not show up for the meetings.
So this is what is happening with our taxes. They raised our building assessed value A LOT. Then they showed only the increase for the county line which is a $940.78 increase. This is only part of the increase though. It will be raised through the rest of the subdivisions you see listed below that county listing on your normal tax bill. The county says we can expect a $940.78 increase but that is a flat-out lie. Our taxes for our building will be closer to $9,000 since they more than doubled the assessed value.
We are now. You are next. The county needs to change this taxing and assessing policy before they drive everyone out of this county! We are not done! This is an obvious move by the county to try to drive us out of here. NOPE, not going to happen. We will continue to shine light on this horrible taxing county and we will put in new leaders that care for the people and want to build a community.
