Very powerful words, it is our preamble. The most powerful preamble ever written. So powerful that they have created new governments and increased freedoms. People can do anything when they have a common mission. So let’s find one now.
I would like every resident to list 2 things below that are needed in our communities. Remember, our community is over-taxed and burdened but there is a lot of love and pride so let’s build on that.
List 2 things that could be done now, with limited funds to make your area of the world a better place. We will start small with things that can be done now and then build on that.
I will start.
I hear from residents every day and we thank you for that. One common complaint is the roads on the north side of Sidney. They don’t need to be perfect but surely a grader can go in there and flatten out the potholes. You don’t need a million-dollar road or one that will last for 20 years. Just go flatten and fill some potholes and START! Don’t argue “oh that is city, I am county” whatever, just go get it done. Do we need a go fund me page for fuel, and rent a tractor? Just get it done. Make a step.
Number 2. We have heard from teachers and parents about the roof on Sidney’s north side school that leaks when there is heavy rain. You don’t need to replace a $50,000 roof. Just go patch some leaks for now and make things a little better for the kids and teachers. Just START! Start by fixing small things that can be done now. They don’t need to be expensive projects fixing something for a lifetime. Just start. Big fixes can come later.
Everyone, list 2 things below that can be done NOW, with little expense as possible to make our communities better. We are going to take these ideas directly to our leaders and ask them to start. If they don’t start we will find ones that will, but we need to start. You post it below and we will take it to every leader in our communities with the words… “WE THE PEOPLE” want these things fixed first.
The people raised the funds and built a park in Sidney for the kids. The people here can do anything. We just need to know what needs to be done and then what we can do RIGHT NOW and start it. Does an area need cleaning up? Abandoned building need tearing down or fixing up? Let’s start a list.
Yesterday I talked with an amazing resident/ business owner here in Sidney. Very inspiring. So many people here are fighting little battles alone. Everyone is afraid. Everyone here is afraid to say anything. You fix that with “We The People”. Now we are going to do it together. We the people can do anything.
In 2007 I was knighted by the French Government in Paris for some innovations I had created. Being an entrepreneur and innovator is not difficult. You look at what you have, what you can do NOW, and start making small steps. Pretty soon those small steps lead to open doors, and more opportunities. Those small steps, make life a little better and uplifts the community. Start only with what can be done now to make life a little better. Just start.
