Tomorrow morning (September 6th) the County Commissioners will be holding a budget meeting starting at 9:30 am according to the notice below. This is the first step in a large tax increase that is coming in September for all Cheyenne County residents. Nebraska law gives all residents the chance to voice their concerns before the Commissioners can adopt any tax increase. This year they are planning on raising an additional 400K in property taxes, according to the budget. If you have concerns and would like to see improvements, etc., in any areas now is the time to tell the board at this meeting Tuesday morning. See you there!
